Our history

In 1967, at just 22 years of age, Bruno Rossi leased seven acres of land from his father in Lombardy, Italy and started off with just an acre of vines.

Bruno made his first wine in 1967 with grapes harvested from this block.

Throughout the 1960s the winery was a one-man band, with Bruno’s wife, Agatha, supporting him in his venture.

Bruno made dry red and white wines, sourcing grapes from the greater Italy regions.

The beginning

Christos Poultsidis, a Graduate of Agriculture with a Major in Plant Protection and specialization in Soil Science, started his professional activity as a soil specialist in 1995, conducting soil analysis throughout Greece. This is how his contact with Greek viticulture began and his acquaintance with many Greek and foreign vine varieties.

1998

The 1st vineyard

In 1998, after a detailed collection and recording of data and images and having now basic experience, he cultivated his first vineyard, in Nees Karyes, Larissa, with an area of 5 acres, with 22 different Greek and foreign varieties for the production of white and red wine. The purpose of the project was to verify the possibility of adapting all varieties to the microclimate of the region.
2006

Creation of a vineyard of 6,425 acres

In 2006, after a systematic recording and analysis of the quality characteristics of the specific varieties, as well as the production of wine, either from individual varieties or from the combination between them, he created a vineyard of 6,425 acres with specific Greek and foreign varieties .

sustainability

As part of the agricultural industry, we fully depend on our surrounding, just as it depends on us. That’s why we grow our produce organically and sustainably. Over the past decades the carbon footprint of the winery has been positive, which is something we’re really proud of.
